WDEP#153

Melting snow and ice, flooding and backing up into drainage and road ditches provide perfect spawning areas for carp. They move up stream into these ditches as far as they can go in water from 1 -3 feet deep. Jay Bendt contacts Vern that Tim Chandler of Watertown. SD called. The ditches are full of water - the hunt is on. When they arrive at Watertown Vern finds three feet of clear water in the ditches loaded with carp. The guys are using recurve bows to shoot 3 - 15 carp swimming by. They are actually standing on a road making 5 - 15 yard shots the more they shoot the better their accuracy. As you will see the action is constant, they end up shooting over 100 carp on this beautiful spring day.
