Gann Valley is one of the premier hunting ranches in SD. The Wild Dakota crew looks forward to the opener and the PVA hunt each year. In pheasant country this PVA hunt is on the last day of the preserve season. Weather conditions are far from ideal, forty mph winds and rain make this hunt miserable. Even with these conditions we load these hunter in pickups and gators donned in garbage bags to keep dry, THESE guys are ready to hunt! This is a day the pheasants don't even want to come out. A measure of a good pheasant hunting lodge is how hard they work to put the game in front of the hunter; Norm Drake certainly qualifies. Even though these conditions were "terrible" Norm provided a quality hunt for these paralyzed Vets. Vern states, "One thing that really impresses me - you'll never hear any of these Vets complain".
