When warm summer days roll around much of the fishing become slow. This is when the catfish take over the spotlight, catfish are a ravenous feeders. Vern and Dave arm themselves with some Bowkers stink bait along with chicken liver and cut bait. They'll fish the current breaks and log jams for Channel and Blue Catfish. They use a flat bottomed Jon boat with a one and one half horse out board motor. Because of low water levels and mud bars the flat bottomed boat allows them to skim over these obstacles. After 67* and every 7* after the Cats appetite doubles. This is a show where you'll see fast and furious Catfish action on the Sioux River.
