Jason Siemonsma was raised on his family’s farm in southeastern South Dakota, so it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that he loves everything outdoors from driving tractors to hunting and fishing.
Things that Jason enjoys outside of hunting and fishing would be… working cows, competing in ranch rodeos and team penning, and the occasional trail ride or two with his family. He also looks forward to the Make-A-Wish family weekend he helps to make happen with the NBRT folks each fall.
Jason has two ideal dream hunts he hopes to fulfill within the next few years. The first is for a trophy Elk and the second a trophy Mule Deer, by bow or by rifle does not yet matter at this point. (Although, as his wife, I know that if someone brings their child or grandchild along on one of these hunts, he is more likely than not, to help them take home a trophy instead. It’s just the kind of man he is.)
Since becoming a part of Wild Dakota, his new great passion has become filming hunts along with Vern and Jeff, and looks forward to many more adventures and challenges with camera, gun, bow, and rod-n-reel. What he values most is the opportunity to meet new friends and share in their adventures.
Jason also promises to outshoot Jeff in 2008!
