Since I am onto my wife, let’s get to that. Every hunter has to have a good wife. Well, boy did I luck out. She actually lets me go! Rebecca and I were married sometime in 2003, I think… hehe. She is my right hand, soul mate as you call it. I knew we were destined to be together, when on our first date to her house she had a 357cal Smith & Wesson Seven shot sitting on the table. The exact pistol I had in my truck. Yes I was scared, but something said hold on to this one. Luckily her gun is the same size as mine, (even fight I think I can out shoot her… maybe). Do I need to say anymore… Luv yah hun.
In 2004, my pride and joy was born, Jake, this kid now 4, is destined to become the next Fred Bear, or ME. At age three he started shooting his bow, hanging tree stands with dad, fishing walleyes, and recently became a ditch pigger for snow carp. Jake has more patients than his dad ever had. Shot his first duck with his bow.(plunger arrows. duck was not harmed) I have a new hunting buddy. What a feeling, now I know why my dad also had me following his foot steps across the deep snow banks chasing that dream critter.
Well again, 2007 my little angel was born. Yes, Moms got her in camo. Hopefully she is a little more laid back than Mom. Bella has been a pure delight, she likes watching outdoor shows too. I am looking forward to her catching her first fish; hopefully it’s bigger than Mom’s. If she is anything like her mother she will be competing with Jake soon as she can walk.
To sum up my bio, every hunt or catch that I have I savor. Every moment I spend with my family I cherish. Every friend I meet or family member we add, I value. I thank God for giving me the opportunities I have received and experiences I will partake.
It’s been a pleasure being a part of the Wild Dakota Team. It’s a wonderful experience to share that family orientated hunting and fishing experience with such good folks as Jeff Boer, Vern Boer, and the entire Wild Dakota Pro-staff.
Boy’s, where we heading next?
